The Getting Started website is designed to help new students get ready for Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR), Welcome Week, and their first semester at LC.
All new students must attend one of the SOAR sessions. Students who have submitted their deposit will be sent information on how to register for SOAR and complete the Schedule Preference Form and the Housing Preference Form in mid-March or within two weeks of receipt of their deposit. SOAR registration will begin on March 10 and continue until June 6 (or until all three June sessions are full).
Getting Started New Student Checklist:
- Reserve your place at one of the three June Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) Sessions. If you cannot attend one of these sessions, you can register for the August session. Students are strongly encouraged to attend one of the June sessions (see why).
- Monday/Tuesday, June 23/24
- Thursday/Friday, June 26/27
- Monday/Tuesday, June 30/July 1
- Complete the Schedule Preference Form to help us create your initial schedule
- Download and complete the Student Health Form (PDF) before attending SOAR. You can bring the forms with you to your SOAR session.
- Complete the Housing Preference Form for residence hall placements. You can also fill this out or make changes at your SOAR session
