The Walter G. Mason Center promotes educational and organizational development using the diverse resources of Lynchburg College. Through customized workshops, learning forums, adventure training, and corporate retreats, the Center offers opportunities to maximize organizational and personal development.History of the Mason Center
The friends and family of Walter G. Mason, a lifetime trustee of Lynchburg College, established the Walter G. Mason Endowment in 1988. Mr. Mason served for more than twenty-five years on the Board of Trustees of Lynchburg College, was founder and president of Mason and Lee investment firm, and one of the organizers of First Colony Life Insurance Company. The Mason Endowment provided the financial resources for the establishment of the Walter G. Mason Center for Business Development.
