School of Education and Human Development

Our Mission

The School of Education and Human Development is dedicated to preparing students for effective practice, leadership, and service in accordance with the mission of Lynchburg College. The School is committed to quality undergraduate and graduate programs to enable teachers, counselors, and administrators to become professionally competent and to be aware of the importance of their work in the lives of their students, clients, and colleagues. The School intentionally sensitizes its students to the diversity of human experience and to the reality of the many lives which will be touched by their actions and decisions.

2010 graduate Danielle Netsch says Lynchburg College's Education program prepped her well for the classroom.
