Criteria for Admission
Entry into the athletic training major is competitive and all who apply may not be accepted into the program. To be considered for the major, students must have- a QPA of 2.5 or higher
- completed or be in the process of completing AT 100
- completed 60 hours of observation in the Lynchburg College athletic training facility (30 hours per semester)
- completed the observation check list and technical standards form
- completed the AT application available from the Athletic Training Department Chair
- transfer students must see the transfer policy
To remain in the AT major students must
- maintain a QPA of 2.5 or higher
- pass semester end competency examinations associated with each clinical course
(AT 240, 340, 342, 440) - receive a grade of B- or higher in all athletic training major courses
- satisfactorily complete all clinical experiences and proficiencies assigned to each clinical course
