LC Men's Track Concludes Hokie Invite

            BLACKSBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College men's indoor track and field team finished day two of the two-day Hokie Invitational Saturday, hosted by Virginia Tech.  

            The LC distance medley relay team ran an outstanding time of 10:32.88, including a 4:20 time in the mile by anchorman Ryan Van Alstine (Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park). Van Alstine was joined by Pat Jacobs (Bloomingdale, NJ/Butler) Darin Longerbeam (Winchester, VA/James Wood) and Brandon Demers (Cypress, TX/Leonardtown) on the DMR team.

            Rashard Adams (Ashland, VA/Stonebridge) finished the 400 meters in 50.96 and Sam Steinke (The Woodlands, TX/American School of Dubai) ran the 200-meter dash in 23:08.

            Portions of the Hornet team will travel to Christopher Newport University Friday and Liberty University Saturday.
