Justin Yates (res life) and Charity (RSO) attended this meeting to inform us of the Holiday Bash! It has been agreed that there will be activities in the ball room, Dean Eccles as Santa to pose for pictures with the kids and maybe reading during story time, and a light show around campus with SAAC as tour guides. The divisions will be Vernon Street, College Street, Lakewood Street, and the other various college owned houses on nearby streets combined. Each sport will have a house that is decorated as well each sorority and fraternity. Each division will be competing for a 200-250 cash prize/certifcate. In the ball room children will be able to put together care packages for the troops. The holiday bash will be THURSDAY Dec 10th from 6-8. SAAC will be decorating the pine tree between the chapel and Montgomery to act as the campus Christmas tree. This tree will be lit on Thursday to "kick off" the holiday bash. We will also have a winter coat drive for people to donate to as they walk in the ball room. Fliers advertising holdiay bash house decorating contest will be distributed to all campus owned houses.
SAAC tshirt design was decided on at meeting. Also, there was discussion for possible design for SAAC sponsored tshirts to sell for fundraising project. Also, suggestions were made to reserve tables outside cafe and Westover to continue change collection for SAAC during January open house weekend.
Our next monthly meeting will be December 6th, where we will string lights on the pine tree and put together shoe boxes to donate to a local charity. These shoe boxes will be filled by each varsity team with children's toys.
