President Petronelli starts the meeting by inviting SAAC members Rashard Adams and Christina Washington to the front of the room to talk about the SAAC convention in Dallas, Texas. They go on to tell about the leadership skills discussed at the meeting and offer different suggestions for team leaders. SAAC is applying for a grant to bring NCAA representative to LC to speak with students about leadership skills.
Lynchburg Lacrosse player Ryan Beale was brought up next, SAAC plans to put a big sign in the cafe for students to sign and will be sending it to his new hospital location.
Since every sport has a faculty advisor, SAAC would like to get the advisors more involved by telling them about games and offering incentives for going to games. One suggestion is forming a point system, where faculty receive a point for every game attended and if they reach certain milestones, such as 10 points, they could receive things such as t-shirts or spirit baskets, and we would call this "The Ultimate Fan Pack". SAAC feels this would up involvement and interest in games.
Goody bags for the teams entering the ODACS will be passed out before their first ODAC game.
