Hornets Land Four on All-ODAC Volleyball Squad

SALEM, VA - The Lynchburg College volleyball team had four student-athletes named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) team Friday evening, tying Randolph-Macon College for the most award winners on the first and second teams.

Senior libero Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass), junior Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond Suffolk), sophomore Elena Kritter (Culpeper, VA/Rappahannock) and freshman Rebecca Loftis (Coventry, CT/Coventry) comprised four of the seven members of the second team.

Tinsley, a first-team All-ODAC performer last year, leads the conference with 499 digs and is second in digs per game (5.04). She added 38 service aces and is one of three Hornets to play in all 99 games. Boucher is ninth in the ODAC with a .269 hitting percentage and leads the team with 238 kills. The 5-10 outside hitter also had 24 blocks.

Kritter, one of the most versatile outside hitters in the conference, is second on the team with 231 kills, a .294 hitting percentage, 314 digs and 36 service aces. She is fourth in the conference leaders for hitting percentage. Loftis, a 6-0 middle hitter, paces the league with a .415 hitting percentage and is ninth with 77 blocks.

The Hornets ended the season 20-8.
