Box Score

Shelley Hoath       LYNCHBURG, VA - The Hornet offense got untracked after a scoreless first half and went on to defeat the Randolph Macon College women's soccer team 3-0 Wednesday evening on the final day of play in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) regular season.

Sophomore Joanie Snyder (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air) broke the scoreless tie at the 49:44 mark from junior Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson). Freshman Shelley Hoath (pictured left - Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon) added an unassisted goal five minutes later from 20 yards out, and she struck again in the 75th minute on a feed from junior Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton).

LC controlled much of the match, but Yellow Jacket keeper Mary Jocelyn made nine saves to keep her squad close. Anna Wright (Ashland, VA/Patrick Henry) stopped three shots to preserve her eighth shutout of the season. The Hornets held large advantages in shots (29-6) and corner kicks (16-2).
