LC and Post 9-11 Veterans
LC and Post 9/11 Veterans
The Post 9/11 GI Bill and funds from LC, based on participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program, pay tuition and fees for eligible LC degree candidates and provide a housing allowance and money for books and supplies.
- A veteran must qualify for the maximum basic benefit to have all tuition and fees covered,
- Eligibility for the 100 percent benefit is earned after serving an aggregate of 36 months of active duty service or after 30 days of continuous service for those individuals who were discharged for a service-connected disability.
Different amounts payable based on time served
The Post-9/11 GI Bill payment is based on the amount of service completed after September 10, 2001. Your tuition and fees payment, housing allowance, and book stipend are all based on this percentage. You will receive a larger benefit if you served more active duty or mobilization time.
