Lynchburg Volleyball Cages Vixens in Three Games
SWEET BRIAR, VA - The Lynchburg College volleyball team won its sixth match in its last seven times out Tuesday, as the Hornets breezed past the Vixens of Sweet Briar College 3-0 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

LC was never in danger Tuesday, winning by scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-18. Lynchburg also continued its run over Sweet Briar, having not lost to the Vixens since the 1990 season.
Pacing the way offensively for the Hornets was Elena Kritter (Culpeper, VA/Rappahannock), who finished with nine kills and eight digs. Junior Michelle Boucher (Chesapeake, VA/Nansemond-Suffolk) had eight kills in 12 attempts, while Rachel Huffman (Virginia Beach, VA/Bayside) finished seven of her eight attacks. Freshman Rebecca Loftis (Coventry, CT/Coventry) had six kills and two solo blocks.

Senior libero Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass) and junior Jasmine Murphy (Shipman, VA/Nelson County) each posted 10 digs for LC.
