Balanced Scoring Leads Hornet women Past Sweet Briar 8-0

            SWEET BRIAR, VA - Eight different players scored Wednesday as the Lynchburg College women's soccer team breezed to an 8-0 win at Sweet Briar College in Old dominion Athletic conference (ODAC) action.             

   Brittany Klippstein         Junior Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) scored LC's first goal on an assist from Brittany Klippstein (pictured left - Springfield, VA/West Springfield) and Kristen Melchiori (Chantilly, VA/Chantilly) followed with a tally from Fallon Page (Woodstock, VA/Archbishop Spaulding). The other six Hornet goal scorers were Shelley Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon), Katelyn LeRiche (Guilford, CT/Guilford), Joanie Snyder (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air), Shawn Jackson (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam), Katie Santos (Cheltenham, VA/Bishop Ireton) and Klippstein.

            Lynchburg (11-2-3/7-1-1 ODAC) hosts Eastern Mennonite University Saturday at 7 p.m. in another conference tilt. The program's five seniors will be honored prior to the contest.
