Each summer the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association recognizes student-athletes from each NCAA or NAIA institution in the state of Virginia for their outstanding performances in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or better. Additionally, the student must have achieved sophomore status, and he or she could not have been in the first season of competition at their current school.
