Lynchburg Softball Fourth in D3 In Team GPA

STARKSVILLE, MS - The Lynchburg College softball team was recently recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) as they finished fourth in all of Division III in team GPA.

The Hornets were only of only two ODAC teams to be honored on the NFCA All-Academic Team list as Bridgewater College placed 56^th. The Hornets boasted a 3.50 team GPA, falling just 0.031 points behind Emerson College which topped the list for Division III. Overall, the team had the 14^th highest team GPA amongst all levels of NCAA and NAIA competition. Earlier in the year the softball team earned the Lynchburg College Team Academic Award for finishing with the top GPA amongst teams of 16 or more members.
