Hunter SmithGREENSBORO, NC - The Lynchburg College men's soccer team scored a 4-1 victory over Greensboro College Wednesday afternoon in South Atlantic region action.

Oscar Sellhed put the Pride on board in the 9th minute as he deflected it off a direct kick. LC answered back in the 33rd minute as Pat Brown (Williamsburg, VA/Christchurch) finished in traffic off a Shawn Bender (Virginia Beach, VA/Bayside) pass. Hunter Smith (Goode, VA/Jefferson Forest) scored the game-winning goal on a header off a Jim Rochow (Forest, VA/Jefferson Forest) corner kick. Stephen Legg (Newport News, VA/Denbigh Baptist) added an insurance tally off a rebound in the 61st minute and Donald Hart III (Springfield, VA/Paul VI) scored the final goal of the game as the keeper couldn't hold on to the ball. Lynchburg (8-1-1) outshot Greensboro (0-6-1)13-9 and held a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.

Lynchburg hosts 20th ranked Salisbury University on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. as part of Homecoming festivities.
