Junior defender Hunter Smith (Goode, VA/Jefferson Forest) helped the Hornets go 2-0 last week in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) games. His name rarely shows up in the scoring column, but his main job is to prevent Hornet opponents from scoring. Lynchburg won both of its games 3-2 last week, Wednesday at Bridgewater College and Saturday in double overtime against Washington & Lee University.
Hunter has started all nine games for LC this season and has scored once. He has helped the Hornet defense to allow just a goal per game thus far. The Hornets are 7-1-1 overall and 3-0-1 in conference play.
