Sophomore Jordan Warrington (Ocean View, DE/Indian River) scored off of her own rebound to give LC a quick 1-0 lead just 1:05 into play. The Wolverines answered back at the eight-minute mark as Jessica Franklin found the back of the cage from Nicole Hill off a penalty corner. The teams remained tied at one at intermission.
Allie Weir (pictured left) scored her first tally just two minutes after the break from Kristina Morris (Stafford, VA/Mountain View) and added an unassisted tally at 44:17. Sister Jenny Weir (Richmond, VA/James River) got on the scoreboard late from Deanna Smith (Chester, VA/Thomas Dale) to finish the scoring.
Lynchburg out-shot Wesley 38-10 and held a 17-5 edge in penalty corners. Sarah Johnson made 14 stops for the Wolverines.
The Hornets (8-2) host Sweet Briar College Saturday at 1 p.m. as a part of Homecoming weekend.
