Women’s Cross Country Runners Up at Maroon Invitational

Women’s Cross Country Runners Up at Maroon Invitational.

 

SALEM, VA – The women’s cross country team were the runners up at the Maroon Invitational on the campus of Roanoke College as the meet was run amidst rain showers.

 

Jennie Pernisi (Camden, NY/Altmar-Parish Williamstown) and Ashley Meyer (Springfield, MO/Glendale) took seventh and eighth place as each runner recorded times of 25:43 in the 6K event. Kiley Trennepohl (Monticello, IN/The Culver Academies) and Aubrey Berry (Chesapeake, VA/Warren Township) both finished the race with a time of 26:31 to take 13th and 14th place. Monica Ramstad (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Memorial) recorded a time of 27:02 for 17th place, Ashley Saba (Severna Park, MD/Severna Park) crossed the finish line at 28:01 for 23rd, while Lindsay Fender (Fork Union, VA/Fluvanna) concluded the scoring for LC as she placed 24th with a time of 28:19.

 

Lynchburg travels to Bethlehem, PA, on Friday, October 2, to participate in the prestigious Paul Short Invitational.
