Hornets Compete at Bridgewater College Invitational

            HARRISONBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College golf team placed eighth after play Saturday and Sunday at the 11-team Tom Kinder Memorial, hosted by Bridgewater College at the Lakeview Golf Club.  The Hornets shot a team score of 623, only three strokes behind Shenandoah University who placed seventh.  The team title was taken by home team Bridgewater College with a two-day score of 584. 

Sophomore Conrad Anguera (Lynchburg, VA/Carlucci Amer. Int.) led the Hornets with a combined score of 152.  He shot a 79 on Saturday and a 73 on Sunday on the par 72 course.  Joey Brunet (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellum) fired a 155, Michel Butzgy (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) totaled 156, Santi Anguera (Lynchburg, VA/Carlucci Amer. Int.) ended with 160, and Augie Camacho (Suffolk, VA/Lakeland) followed with a 163.

The Hornets continue their fall season next week, September 29-30, against Hampden-Sydney College at The Manor Resort Golf Course.
