Hopwood Hall is a youthful 100 years old and to celebrate got a "face-lift" this summer - a new chrome dome. The green copper dome you've known for years is now gone and a new shiny copper top is once again in place, as it was in 1909.
The "top swap" combined detailed science and art in a multi-week labor of love. Enjoy it while you can. The copper will turn green again, a function of weathering.
