  • Windows Vista Home Premium or better (Windows XP Pro acceptable)
  • Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007 with PowerPoint
  • All new computers come network ready
  • Ethernet network cable (25ft recommended length)
  • Anti-virus software - **REQUIRED** (The College provides free AVG anti-virus software for all students.)
Macintosh Desktops and Laptops:

IF YOU ARE BRINGING A USED COMPUTER

Supported Minimum Computer Configuration for Students (if you are bringing a computer from home):

  • Intel Core Duo or equivalent [PC or Macintosh] (1.8 GHz or higher for laptops)
  • 1 gigabytes RAM
  • 100 gigabyte Hard Drive
  • DVD/CD-RW drive
  • Windows XP Professional or Mac OS 10 (X)
  • Microsoft Office 2003 or Microsoft Office 2004 for Macs
  • 10/100 network adapter
  • Ethernet network cable (recommended length - 25ft)
  • Anti-virus software - ** REQUIRED** (The College provides free AVG anti-virus software for students with PC's.)

Connecting to the College Network

Information / instructions on connecting to the College’s network will be provided during the Fall check-in. You will need a network cable (exact specifications are above) for your residence hall room or a wireless network card for College-owned houses.
