Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the nationally recognized sororities at Lynchburg College. The Lynchburg College Panhellenic Council was established in 2001 to replace the previous Greek Council. Panhellenic Council is intended to establish academic and intellectual achievement, promote intersorority relations, and to foster education and awareness of members. Panhellenic Council includes the four NPC recognized sororities at Lynchburg College; Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Kappa Delta, and Sigma Sigma Sigma.
Mission Statement
To serve as a unifying body, facilitate interactions and collaborations among the individual chapters, and provide a means of achieving the ideals and aims of each individual chapter, the sorority and fraternity life community, and Lynchburg College as a whole.
National Panhellenic Creed
We, as Undergraduate Members of women's fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.
We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.
