Shellenberger Field's makeover is getting a makeover. Drainage and turf problems in the two-year-old field required a complete overhaul, at contractors' expense, of the playing field and parts of the track.
Vice President and Dean for Student Development John Eccles was in charge of the first artificial turf project on Shellenberger Field in 2007. This time around we put him in charge of documenting the work that went into the new sequel, "The Rebirth of Turf."
