Seven Hornets Honored on the All-ODAC Men's Lacrosse Team
SALEM, VA - The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team had seven players honored with the release of the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) team. Freshman Dylan Hoff (Chester Springs, PA/Downington East) earned the conference's Rookie of the Year award.
Hoff finished the season third on the team in points with 48 and was second in goals (32) and assists (16). He also ranked eighth in the ODAC in goals per game and ninth in points per game.
Senior Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) and junior Shane Roscher (Centreville, VA/Westfield) each earned first-team accolades. Tolson led the ODAC in goals per game, game winning goals, and man up goals and was fourth in points per game. He posted a team best 50 goals and 58 points and became the college's top goal scorer of all-time this season. Roscher was an instrumental player for the defense that boasted a 9.50 goals against average. He started all 16 games this spring and led the squad with fourteen caused turnovers.
Seniors Mike Mundorf (Cambridge, MD/Mt. Saint Joseph) and Jeff Eggeling (Barrington, RI/Providence Country Day) as well as sophomore Eddie Bilinkas (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) were named to the second-team while freshman Franc Cook (Milton, DE/Cape Henlopen) nabbed an honorable-mention nod. Mundorf led the team and ODAC in assists with 29 (1.81/game). He came in second on the team with 52 points and ranked sixth in the conference. Eggeling also started all 16 contests and scooped up 22 groundballs while causing seven turnovers. Bilinkas concluded the season fourth on the team in points (31), goals (22), and assists (9) while also corralling 21 ground balls. Cook had a strong freshman campaign as the goalkeeper. He started 15 of 16 games and posted a 9.33 goals against average along with a .547 save percentage. Additionally, he led the team in ground balls with 81, ranked fifth in the ODAC in ground balls per game, second in goals against average, second in save percentage, and fifth in saves per game.
