Business programs within the School of Business and Economics are now nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Dr. Joe Turek was presented with the certificate of accreditation during the ACBSP Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, on June 28, 2009. For institutions that achieve accreditation for their business schools and programs, this attainment certifies that the teaching and learning processes within that institution meet the rigorous educational standards established by the ACBSP.
In its final report, the Board of Commissioners made special mention of the School's outstanding instructional facilities, substantial and impressive community outreach, exemplary coverage of business ethics, and high levels of student-faculty interaction made possible by small classes and a dedicated faculty.
