LC Women Breeze Past Hollins 20-0 on Senior Day

            LYNCHBURG, VA - Senior attack Tricia Clay (Alexandria, VA/West Potomac) scored four goals in the first half as the Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team breezed past Hollins University Sunday 20-0 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match-up.

            Senior Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) found the back of the net three times and assisted on three others and Katie Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) and Lesley Buckingham (Herndon, VA/Herndon) each had two goals and an assist. Morgan Logue (Barrington, IL/Barrington) scored once and had three assists, while Lexi Cuneo (Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River South) and Kit Russell (Potomac Falls, VA/Dominion) had a goal and an assist apiece.

            Tegan Urbanski and Katy Teller combined to make six saves in net for Hollins (1-9/0-7 ODAC).    

            The Hornets (9-7/4-4 ODAC), seeded fifth in the six-team bracket, will travel to #4 Virginia Wesleyan College Wednesday for a first-round contest in the ODAC Tournament. Game time has not been set.
