Men's Lacrosse Beats Guilford 18-5

GREENSBORO, NC - The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team rattled off the first 11 goals of the game en route to an 18-5 victory over Guilford College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

Senior attack Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) tallied four goals and two assists to lead the Hornets.  He now has 47 goals this season, which is tied with Rhys Brooks for the fourth best single season goal total.  Freshman attack Dylan Hoff (Chester Springs, PA/Downington East) posted two goals and two assists while Austin Jeter (Coppell, TX/Episcopal School of Dallas) contributed with a hat trick.  Ethan Farrell (Nantucket, MA/Nantucket) and Eddie Bilinkas (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) each scored twice, Kyle Fortman (Gambrills, MD/Archbishop Spaulding) contributed with two helpers, and Jon Selfridge (Glenwood, MD/Glenelg) won 9-of-11 faceoff attempts.

Daniel Dowd led Guilford (3-10/1-6 ODAC) with three goals and David Heltzel had a goal and an assist.  The Hornets outshot the Quakers 46-26 and held a 31-28 edge in groundballs. LC also won 15 of 26 face-offs and was successful on 25-of-29 clear attempts compared to just 16-for-31 for GC.

Lynchburg (10-4/4-1 ODAC) travels to Washington & Lee University on Wednesday at 7 p.m. for their final regular season contest before competing in the ODAC Tournament.
