Virginia Wesleyan Defeats LC Women 18-11

            VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - The Virginia Wesleyan College women's lacrosse team scored eight of the first nine goals of the game and breezed to an 18-11 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win Wednesday night against Lynchburg College.

            Senior Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) scored a team-high four times for LC and Katie Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) had two goals and an assist. Emily McMillan (Hockessin, DE/Wilmington Friends), Morgan Logue (Barrington, IL/Barrington) and Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon) each had a goal and an assist and Kit Russell (Potomac Falls, VA/Dominion) assisted on two scores.

            Aimee Sraver paced Virginia Wesleyan (8-8/5-3 ODAC) with five goals. Laura Norris totaled four goals and four assists and Bethany Adomanis had four goals and one assist.

            The Hornets (7-7/2-4 ODAC) travel to Bridgewater College for an ODAC contest at 2 p.m.
