LC Defeats Hampden-Sydney 15-8

            LYNCHBURG, VA - The 17th-ranked Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team scored nine of the 11 second-half goals and defeated visiting Hampden-Sydney College 15-8 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play Wednesday night.

            The Tigers held leads of 5-4 and 6-5 in the second quarter, but LC's Eddie Bilinkas (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) scored with 41 seconds left before intermission to tie the game at six all. The Hornets scored the first three goals of the third quarter and controlled much of the second-half play.

            Senior Michael Mundorf (Cambridge, MD/Mount St. Joseph) tallied three goals and two assists on the evening, and Ethan Farrell (Nantucket, MA/Nantucket) also scored three times. Dylan Hoff (Chester Springs, PA/Downingtown East) and Bilinkas each posted two goals and an assist, and Aaron Khouri (Memphis, TN/MUS) netted two scores. Net-minder Franc Cook (Milton, DE/Cape Henlopen) made 12 stops between the pipes.

            Kenny Mathison and Micah Keller each found the back of the net twice for the Tigers (6-7/3-2 ODAC). Carter Mavromatis had a goal and three helpers.

            Lynchburg (9-4/3-1 ODAC) travels to Guilford College Saturday for another conference battle at 1 p.m.
