Brittany Allsop (Milford, CT/Johnathan Law) led off the game with her third homerun of the season. Lynchburg then rattled off seven runs in the second inning and six scores in the third. Allsop finished the game 2-2 with three runs and two RBI, and Katie Bruce (Lanexa, VA/Lafayette) was 3-for-4 with three RBI and two scores. Taylor Walker (Poquoson, VA/Poquoson) had a three-hit performance and drove in two runs while Ashley Hohenberger (Wake Forest, NC/Longwood) and Audra Della Rosa (Rumford, RI/St. Mary Academy Bay View) each plated two Hornets. Barbie Miles (Kinsale, VA/Washington & Lee) earned her 13th win on the rubber and struck out six SBC hitters in just three innings, and Caitlin Dolby (Laurel, DE/Laurel) pitched the final two innings in relief and recorded three K's to earn the save.

Lynchburg won the second-game 8-0 in five innings and pitched another one-hitter. Bruce notched her 17th win in the circle as she threw three innings of perfect baseball while striking out five Vixens (4-23/1-11 ODAC). Melissa O'Hara (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun County) pitched two innings of relief and struck out four batters to taly a save.

Lynchburg (30-5, 15-1) travels to Bridgewater College on Friday for an ODAC doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. A sweep or a split will guarantee LC the #1 seed in the ODAC Tournament that will begin on April 24.
