            LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team defeated visiting Sweet Briar College Saturday evening 18-4 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.

            The Hornets scored the first four goals and were never challenged. LC took a 10-3 lead into intermission and scored the last six goals of the game.

            Morgan Logue (Barrington, IL/Barrington) led Lynchburg with three goals and two assists, while Patty Sheahan (Lutherville, MD/St. Timothy's) and Katie Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) also each had hat tricks.  Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, Yorktown) tallied a goal and four helpers, while Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon) had two goals and two assists. Emily McMillan (Hockessin, DE/Wilmington Friends) and Elizabeth Moulden (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) each found the back of the net twice and Christina Tran (Sterling, VA/Severn) and Kaelyn Sullivan (Hingham, MA/Hingham) combined to make 13 saves.

            Stewart Hulfish led the Vixens with two goals and an assist. LC out-shot its guests 31-19.

            The Hornets (7-6/2-3 ODAC) travel to Virginia Wesleyan College Wednesday for another ODAC match at 7 p.m.
