
LYNCHBURG, VA – Fifteen institutions competed Saturday as the Lynchburg College women’s track and field team hosted the LC Classic on Shellenberger and Moon Fields. It was a tune-up for the Hornets – as they prepare for next weekend’s conference championships.
Kristina Morris (Stafford, VA/Mountain View) ran a personal best of 2:28.24 in the 800 meters and Jessica Gibbs (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) leaped 5.30 meters in the long jump.
Krystle Landes (Staunton, VA/Wilson) threw the javelin 32.09 meters and Ashley Allen (Richmond, VA/Hermitage) and Deana Crews (Meadows of Dan, VA/Patrick County) threw the hammer distances of 39.53 and 35.87 meters, respectively.
