The Lynchburg College men's outdoor track and field team was recently slotted as the No. 6 team in the nation according to the latest Division III rankings from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Hornets received 175.47 points in the poll, which was less than a point behind No. 5 Emory University at 176.11. Lynchburg this season has been led by distance star Ricky Flynn (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) and decathlete James Bell (Huddleston, VA/Staunton River), both of whom have already qualified for national competition.
