Randolph-Macon Defeats LC Women's Lacrosse 14-10

            ASHLAND, VA - The Randolph-Macon College women's lacrosse team took control of the game early and captured a 14-10 decision over Lynchburg College, despite four goals from LC junior Katie Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester).

            The Hornets scored the first goal of the contest, but the Yellow Jackets rattled off the next six scores and held the lead the rest of the way.  

            Ollice netted three of her goals in the second half. Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon) and Lesley Buckingham (Herndon, VA/Herndon) each had two goals and Patty Sheahan (Lutherville, MD/St. Timothy's) and Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) both had a goal and an assist. Morgan Logue (Barrington, IL/Barrington) dished out two assists.

            Emily Kent and Erin Claire Cassidy each had four goals and an assist for Randolph-Macon (4-4/3-1 ODAC). Alex Flammia made 15 stops for the Yellow Jackets, who won despite getting out-shot  by a 33-22 margin.

            Lynchburg (5-5/0-3 ODAC) travels north to Maryland to battle Stevenson University (the former Villa Julie) Saturday at 2 p.m.
