LC Golf Finishes Play at Camp Lejeune

 CAMP LEJEUNE, NC- The Lynchburg College golf team completed its weekend tournament play at the Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Invitational at Paradise Point Golf Course. Highlights included the Hornets shooting even par on Saturday.

             Saturday's success came from a number of Hornets who played well, including Ryan White (Round Hill, VA/Loudoun Valley), who shot a team-best 66. Freshman Mike Butzgy (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) fired a 70, and Conrad Anguera (Lynchburg, VA/Carlucci Amer. Int.) and Joey Brunet (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam) both finished with a 72. Augie Camacho (Suffolk, VA/Lakeland) carded a 77.

             Butzgy shot a team-best 222 for the entire tournament weekend. Other scores include Anguera (223), White (224), Brunet (228), and Camacho (240).

            The Hornets will travel to the Apprentice School at Fords Colony Country Club April 6-7.
