LC Golf Opens Play at Camp LeJeune

            CAMP LEJEUNE, NC- The Lynchburg College golf team competed Friday on day one of the three-day, 32-team Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Invitational at Paradise Point Golf Course. The Hornets shot a team score of 305 on the ‘Gold' Course today.

            Freshman Conrad Anguera (Lynchburg, VA/Carlucci American Institute) fired a team-best 73 on the par 72, 7,040-yard course. Michael Butzgy (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) shot a 74, Ryan White (Round Hill, VA/Loudon Valley) carded a 77 and Joey Brunet (Virginia Beach, VA/Kellam) and Augie Camacho (Suffolk, VA/Lakeland) each finished with 81.

            The Hornets will tackle the ‘Scarlett' Course Saturday, with tee time set at 9:40 a.m.
