Logue and Welsch Score Four Each as LC Women Defeat GBoro 18-8

            GREENSBORO, NC - Senior Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) and Morgan Logue (Barrington, IL/Barrington) each scored four times Saturday afternoon as the Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team breezed by Greensboro College 18-8.

            The Hornets led 5-3 midway through the first half, but a 6-0 spurt over the next 10 minutes, by six different goal scorers, gave LC a comfortable advantage. Logue added an assist to finish with five points on the day, while Katie Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) scored three times. Patty Sheahan (Lutherville, MD/St. Timothy's) had two goals and an assist and Betty Morse (South Hamilton, MD/Brooks School) and Lindsay Gengras (Avon, CT/Avon) each had two tallies. Elizabeth Jackson (Baltimore, IND) had a goal and an assist.

            Chelsea Farley had four goals and two helpers for Greensboro (1-5).

            The Hornets (4-2) host Marymount University Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
