Before LC: Was a sectional qualifier in swimming in the Charlotte area, while also holding the team captaincy for four years . . . helped his swim team qualify to a state championship all four years . . . valedictorian of his class.
Personal: Son of Dave and Carrie Nelson . . . has two brothers . . . psychology major . . . academic All-ODAC . . . Westover Honors Program . . .
