Lynchburg Baseball Game With Ferrum at City Stadium Cancelled

                LYNCHBURG, VA - Wednesday night's non-conference Lynchburg baseball contest with the Panthers of Ferrum College has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions at Lynchburg's City Stadium.

                The field was still wet due to the five straight days of rain that the Lynchburg region was pelted by over the past weekend and into the beginning of this week. Out of consideration for the Lynchburg Hillcats, their field and the player's safety, the game was called.

                No make-up date for the contest has been announced as of this moment.

                Lynchburg (11-6/2-0 ODAC) will take on Montclair State University Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Fox Field in more non-conference play.
