"The Pedlar River Institute: local issues, local actions," a talk to be given on Thursday March 19 at 7 p.m. in Schewel Hall, room 232 at Lynchburg College, is the third in a series of events on the subject of water quality and education.
Judy Strang, who founded the Pedlar River Institute, will use photos to illustrate her experiences running a grassroots organization. She will discuss current conditions and challenges for the Pedlar River (Lynchburg City's main water supply), anecdotes and inspirations about kids, stream critters, and our shared future.
Two earlier talks examined stream sampling across Virginia and educational challenges in protecting water sources. The talks are sponsored by the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges.
