No. 23 Softball Falls 3-1 to Peace College

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - The 23rd ranked Lynchburg College softball team fell 3-1 to Peace College to conclude the Virginia Wesleyan Tournament - the Hornets went 3-1 in the tournament.

Barbie Miles (Kinsale, VA/Washington & Lee) pitched 4 and 2/3 innings, allowing six hits and four walks while striking out seven and Katie Bruce (Lanexa, VA/Fayetteville) 3 and 1/3 innings of perfect softball, allowing no hits and walks. Amber James (Manahawkin, NJ/S. Regional) was 2-3 at the plate while Brittany Allsop (Milford, CT/Johnathan Law), Audra Della Rosa (Rumford, RI/St. Mary Academy Bay View) and Tara Campbell (Leesburg, VA/Loudoun Co.) each went 1-for-2 as Allsop adding a walk and a run and Campbell tacked on a walk.

Lynchburg (5-2) will battle the SeaGulls of Salisbury University on Sunday for a doubleheader starting at noon at Great Bridge High School in Virginia Beach, VA.
