Hornet Women's Tennis Defeated 6-3 by R-MC

LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College women's tennis team was defeated by a score of 6-3 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play against rival Randolph-Macon on Friday afternoon.

The Hornets started off strong, winning at #1 and #2 singles play. Elizabeth Eckert (Annandale, VA/Annandale) won 3-6, 7-5, 10-6 and Jessie Moore (Salem, VA/Glenvar) posted a commanding 6-3, 6-3 victory.

However, Lynchburg's next and ultimately final win did not come until #1 doubles action, when Eckert and Krysten Bishop (Big Rapids, MI/Big Rapids) teamed together for an 8-5 victory.

The Hornets (1-1/1-1 ODAC) are scheduled for four matches next week on their Spring Break trip, competing in Hilton Head, SC, Savannah, GA and Beaufort, SC.
