Tyler Tolson Nets Three as #10 LC Lax Defeats Colorado College 18-3

            LYNCHBURG, VA - The 10th-ranked Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team scored the first 18 goals of the contest and handily defeated visiting Colorado College 18-3 Sunday in non-conference action from Shellenberger Field.

            Senior attack Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) scored all three of his goals in the first half and freshman Dylan Hoff (Chester Springs, PA/Downingtown East) netted two as LC took a 9-0 lead at halftime. The Hornets tacked on six more third-quarter goals, by six different scorers, and freshman goalie Franc Cook (Milton, DE/Cape Henlopen) made 10 saves in his 45 minutes of scoreless play. LC scored three times to open the fourth quarter, and the Tigers closed out the game with three tallies.

            Freshman Conner Carroll (Cincinnati, OH/Archbishop Moeller) posted two goals and an assist, Kevin Donahue (Ipswich, MA/Tabor Academy) and had a goal and two helpers, while Michael Mundorf (Cambridge, MA/Mt. Saint Joseph), Aaron Khouri (Memphis, TN/MUS) and Andrew Wilfong (Columbus, OH/Worthington Kilbourne) each had a goal and an assist.

            Moses Taylor, Toby Cohen and Charley Perkins all scored for Colorado College (0-2). The Tigers out-shot LC 36-31 and won 13 of the game's 25 face-offs.

            The Hornets (2-1) host Muhlenberg College Wednesday at 4 p.m.
