About Us Academics Admissions Athletics Giving to the College Graduate Studies Library Student Life

As members of Alpha Sigma Alpha, our commitment to improving our communities doesn’t end with college. In fact, that’s often just the beginning of a lifetime of rewarding involvement with philanthropy and community service.

Special Olympics
The Special Olympics, one of Alpha Sigma Alpha’s national philanthropies, remains important to our members long after they graduate. Each year, the Special Olympics touches lives in hundreds of communities across the nation and around the world, and each year hundreds of Alpha Sigma Alpha members make a difference to this important organization. For more information on how you can get involved with Special Olympics, visit the Special Olympics website at www.specialolympics.org.

The S. June Smith Center
Our members also contribute their time and talents to the S. June Smith Center. The S. June Smith Center is a private non-profit agency providing early identification, education, training, and therapy to infants and children in Lancaster County, Pa., with developmental disabilities and delays. Your chapter or alumnae chapter may have adopted this important organization as its beneficiary, or it may have chosen to assist local agencies and organizations that make a difference in the lives of mentally challenged people in your area. For more information on how you can get involved with the S. June Smith Center, e-mail the national headquarters or call 317/871- 2920.
