Three Hornet Riders Qualify For IHSA Zone IV Championship Show
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - The Lynchburg College equestrian team compete at the Regional event in Charlottesville, VA, this weekend. Three riders qualified for the IHSA Zone IV Championship show to be held at the University of Virginia April 5.
Caitlin Flathers (Rixeyville, VA/Homeschool) was crowned the champion in novice fences and took fourth place in intermediate flat. Sarah Ridgeway (Locust Dale, VA/Orange County) was the reserve champion in advanced walk/trot/canter, and Kelly Gerland (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) was named the reserve champion in both novice flat and intermediate fences.
The team has off until March 27 when they host an in-house show at 4 p.m. at the Randolph College Equestrian Center.
