
The Hornets had yet another strong season, going 13-4 in 2006 and qualified for the NCAA tournament. The team had an exceptional start to the season, as they won their first nine games and never lost more than two consecutive matches the entire campaign. The Hornets beat Hampden-Sydney in the first round of the ODACs playoffs but lost to Roanoke College in the ODAC championship by a score by 15-21. After receiving a first-round bye in the NCAA tournament, the team then lost to Washington College in the second round by a score of 7-8.
Ryan Cranston led the way with 48 points (30g, 18a). A.J. Tinklepaugh scored 31 times and had 16 helpers, while Johnny Black had a team-high 39 goals and 4 assists. Goalie Garrett Curran started all 17 games in net and had a save percentage of 52.1%. LC outscored its opponents 218 to 147.
