Guilford College Picks Up 85-69 Victory over Lynchburg Men's Basketball

LYNCHBURG, VA - Guilford College picked up an 85-69 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory over the Lynchburg College men's basketball team Saturday afternoon.

The game was tied at 37-37 with 1:44 remaining in the first-half, but an 11-0 Quaker run extending into the second-half gave GC a lead they would not relinquish. Mason Wooldridge (New Canton, VA/Fork Union) led all scorers with 28 points and had a team-high nine rebounds while shooting 10-20 from the field. Steven Echols (Martinsville, VA/Carlisle) posted 18 points, six boards, and five assists and KC Mendez (San Antonio, TX/Winston Churchill) added 10 points.

Tyler Sanborn led the charge for Guilford (19-4/12-2 ODAC) with 18 points and 16 caroms and Clay Henson contributed with 19 points and six rebounds. Rhett Bonner tacked on 15 points and four assists, George Neville had 12 points, and Martin Stephenson provided 11 points.

Lynchburg (3-20/1-13 ODAC) travels across town to play Randolph College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
