
The 2000 squad finished the season with an overall record of 9-5 and 4-2 in the ODAC. The Hornets posted three separate three-game winning streaks and closed out games strong, winning seven of eight games when ahead at the half. Lynchburg outscored its opponents 134-101, won 62.9% of the faceoffs, and held a 650-485 advantage in ground balls. Josh Paris led LC in scoring with 38 points (24g, 14a) while Jason Jeffries scored a team high 28 goals. Jon Gilden commanded the faceoff x, winning 171 of 267 attempts along with 120 groundballs, which is sixth best in program history. Mike Huck had a strong season in goal, starting all 14 contests along with a 7.20 goals against average and a save percentage of 61.7%.
