
The 1997 team finished 7-8 overall and 2-4 in the old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC). Lynchburg won five straight games towards season's end. Jason Haslbeck led the team with 31 goals and 41 points, and Russ Sliger added 23 tallies and 11 assists. Freshman Marty Jakovics made 264 saves, ranking fifth all-time for a single season. Haslbeck earned first-team All-ODAC honors, and Brian Catney, Jakovics and Joe Venturella also made the team.
