            SELINSGROVE, PA - The Lynchburg College women's indoor track and field team had a record-breaking performance Saturday at the Susquehanna University Invitational.

            The 4x200 meter relay team of Kyra Richardson (Midlothian, VA/Midlothian), Daphne Desrosiers (Pembroke Pines, FL/Killingly), Krystle Landes (Staunton, VA/Wilson) and Christina Washington (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) broke the school record in 1:49.31 to win the meet.

Desrosiers also set the school record in the 55-meter dash, finishing in 7.48. She ran a 27.46 in the 200-meter dash to place sixth, with Olivia Johnston (Cranbury, NJ/Princeton) not far behind (27.99).  Richardson and Landes completed the 55-meter dash in times of 7.59 and 7.67, respectively, and Richardson cleared 4.77 meters in the long jump.  

Jessica Gibbs (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) cleared 5.04 meters in the long jump and ran a personal best of 64.43 in the 400. Ashley Allen (Richmond, VA/Hermitage) placed fifth in the weight throw with a heave of 13.35 meters and Jill Dziewisz (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass) leaped 3.2 meters in the pole vault, the best mark in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference so far this season.

            The Hornets travel to the University of North Carolina Friday.
